Mountain Farmers Market

While in Virginia this past weekend, my family and I went to what I’ll call a “Mountain Farmers Market”. Technically it’s like a grocery store, but with specialty items. There’s baked hams, specialty cheese, jams, perserves, old fashioned candy, yogurt covered pretzels in every flavor, a huge produce selection, and much more. The other end of the store has the most beautiful flowers and plants.

Mountain towns seem to have some of the most interesting and random stores. Definitely an interesting change from the city life. I can only imagine the reaction from people visiting the south for the first time!

During my first visit earlier this year I got a little carried away. I left with dried kiwi, dried okra, veggie chips, peanut butter chocolate peanuts, and chocolate cheesecake fudge. My husband(then fiancé) and I had the best snacks during the ride back to Charlotte!
