Feeling Under the Weather

I literally went to bed after work this morning feeling fine, and then woke up feeling sick. It started with a scratchy throat and cough. I went back to sleep, and woke up feeling even worse.

I have a few ideas about why I’m feeling sick. I did get the flu shot this morning, but I get the flu shot every year. I’m skeptical that the flu shot is the cause of my symptoms. I think it’s just a coincidence.

If I had to guess, I’d say the dust got to me. All the dust from getting new floors placed.

I planned to have a date night with my husband. To go to one of our favorite restaurants and to see Thor. To visit Sephora for the VIB sale or shop for a bedroom rug. Instead I’m going to eat Panera at home and watch movies. Then watch the American Horror Story finale later.

I’m thankful to have such a supportive husband. One who will go out of his way to help me. I don’t have to worry about being sick and going out in the cold to get food and medicine. I think sometimes I take for granted how wonderful it is to have a caring significant other. More emphasis on caring than significant other. A caring friend or family member is such a blessing too!

I’ve always said that a significant other should add good to your life. If they’re only bringing in bad times, what’s the point? Sometimes you really can do better being alone. Actually oftentimes. Focusing on a great relationship with family and friends… is better than focusing on a bad relationship just to have a partner.

Anyways I got off on a bit of a tangent. I’m going to go eat my Panera and chicken noodle soup, snuggle by the fireplace, and get this night of relaxation started.

Thanks for stopping by!
