Universal Studios Orlando holds a very special place in my heart. Many of my best childhood memories were made there. I’ve seen many rides come and go like jaws, twister, disaster ride, and back to the future. I’ve been slimed at Nickelodeon studios. A lot of things have changed with time, but my love for this place never changes. I’m thankful to have shared the experience with my husband, and to see him fall in love with it too.
In March 2017, we had a family cruise to the Bahamas planned. Instead of flying to the Bahamas with the family, my husband and I decided to drive and extend our trip. We drove to Orlando on the Sunday before our cruise, and stayed until Friday morning. We then set off on our cruise from Friday evening to Monday morning. The whole trip was amazing, and I’ll share it all!
Universal Studios Orlando actually features two very different theme parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. We had a four day park to park pass, but we decided to spend our first day at Universal Studios.
We stayed from noon until 9pm. We started off our day with a cartoon parade, rode every ride we could, and then watched the Mardi Gras parade. The Mardi Gras celebration included festival food stands and even a fortune telling stand. It was such a fun and vibrant edition to the park, and the parade was amazing.
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’re probably be wondering about Diagon Alley. It was an absolutely amazing experience, and I’ll do a separate post about it!
Yes! I live in Fl and every time I want to go to a amusement park, Universal always pop up in my mind! I’m glad you had a great time! I am looking forward to the Diagon Alley post!

Yes! As a 90s kid universal was always my favorite! I also worked there as a vacation planner and had a free annual pass. Definitely pays to be a floridian!

I love Florida and their many, many theme parks and Universal is definitely one of them.

I’ve always been curious about the Universal Hollywood! That’s so cool that there’s a Walking Dead ride there! I hope they add it to Orlando!
